Guests at Taninul like to follow the ancient tradition of applying algae-mud facials, this compound deposits on the sides and bottom of the pool, it loosens and floats to the top of the water. These loosened deposits are reputed to be very healthy when rubbed onto the skin.

Our temazcal, or steam bath, is based on traditional healing methods used by indigenous Mexicans in which the properties of fire and water are combined to purify the mind, body, and soul.
